In 2007 Oregon set a 2020 greenhouse gas reduction goal that is almost 30% below today's levels. How do we get there? In October the Oregon Global Warming Commission unanimously adopted a roadmap of ideas, pending a public review process. Do you have comments about the Roadmap? Please share them!

Published On:
Tuesday, March 23, 2010

Over the next 15 months, The EV Project will install electric vehicle chargers at hundreds of sites in Oregon as part of a $99.8 million Recovery Act grant through the U.S. Department of Energy. For property owners who participate in The EV Project, the charging equipment and most installation costs will be covered by the grant. If you wish to nominate a general location or wish to host a site, please contact David Mayfield at dmayfield@etecevs.com or call (503) 919-0304 or visit www.theevproject.com. The federal grant also provides free home-base chargers to qualified participants who purchase a Nissan LEAF.

The EV Project is a collaboration between the Electric Transportation Engineering Corporation (eTec), Nissan and more than 40 other project partners to deploy up to 4,700 zero-emission electric vehicles and 11,210 charging systems to support them in strategic markets in five states: Arizona, California, Oregon, Tennessee, and Washington.
