Jim Rue

Jim Rue serves as a vice-chair on the commission. Jim is a Portland businessman and is the third generation of his family to own the original family farm in Silverton. He recently completed eight years service on the Board of Agriculture. Prior to his return to Oregon in 1997, Rue served as the Deputy Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection where he chaired a market-based trading system to reduce air pollutants in a 37 state compliance region. Rue has a Masters of Forest Science and an MBA from Yale University.
