In 2007 Oregon set a 2020 greenhouse gas reduction goal that is almost 30% below today's levels. How do we get there? In October 2010 the Oregon Global Warming Commission unanimously adopted a roadmap of ideas.

The Oregon Global Warming Commission has published its 2017 Report to the Legislature, available on the reports page.

This fifth Biennial Report includes updated greenhouse gas inventory data and updated projections of Oregon's emissions.  The projections now reflect the anticipated effects of the coal-to-clean legislation that passed the 2016 Legislature (SB 1547).  The report also includes preliminary findings and data tables from the OGWC's Forest Carbon Task Force.  The final sections of the report contain a discussion of how Oregon can improve its state-level climate policy-making, and a summary of the recent Oregon Climate Change Research Institute report on the expected impacts of climate change in Oregon.
